Setting the IP address to the machine allows it to communicate with computers on the network.
The machine is set to automatically obtain IPv4 address as the factory default. If the machine does not obtain the address automatically or you want to assign the specific IP address to the machine, configure the IP address settings referring the procedures below.
This section describes how to specify the IPv4 address manually.

NOTE
- If the machine is not communicated with the network properly, the IP address, subnet mask and gateway address are not displayed.
- If you connect the machine to a switching hub, the machine may not be able to connect to a network even though your network settings are appropriate.
7. Press [Stop/Reset] to return to the standby mode.

- If you connect the machine to a switching hub, the machine may not be able to connect to a network even though your network settings are appropriate. This problem may be resolved by delaying the startup of network communications for the machine.
