You can use the wireless controller for shooting and playback.
CAUTION
- Install the battery (CR2025) into the Wireless Controller [WL-DC300] before use.
- When shooting with the Wireless Controller, please make various setting adjustments such as exposure and white balance on your camera in advance.
WARNING
- Be particularly careful to keep the batteries out of the reach of children. Seek medical assistance immediately if a child swallows a battery since corrosive battery fluids could damage the stomach or intestinal wall.
1. Remove the battery holder.
Place your fingertip on
and press it in the direction of the arrow while placing another fingertip on
and removing the battery holder.
2. Place the battery in the battery holder.
Place the battery in the battery holder with the
positive (+) terminal facing up.
To remove the battery, pull it in the direction of the arrow.
3. Put the battery holder with the battery into the Wireless Controller.
4. Press the <Power> button on the camera.
5. Press the [Self-Timer/Wireless Delay] (
) button.
6. The following window appears.
Select
[Wireless Delay] (
).
With
[Settings...] displayed, press the
<MENU> (
) button.
7. Set the time to start shooting after the <Shutter Button> is pressed.
Select [Wireless Delay], and then select from [0 sec.], [2 sec.], and [10 sec.] to set the delay time for shooting (time to start shooting after the shutter button on the Wireless Controller is pressed).
Press the <FUNC./SET> (
)button.
8. Shoot using the wireless controller.
[Remote Sensor]
The effective range of the Wireless Controller is
within 5 m (16 ft.) (front) and
within 3 m (9.8 ft.) (15 degrees both left and right) / within 1 m (3.3 ft.) (15 degrees both up and down).
Compose the image using the <zoom buttons> (
) (
).
Press the <shutter button> to shoot.
When you press the <DISP.> (
) button, the display changes according to the [Custom Display] setting. The <DISP.> (
) button can only be used for switching between LCD monitor and viewfinder display.
CAUTION
The operable range of the wireless controller will shorten under the following circumstances.
- When the wireless controller is used at an angle to the remote sensor.
- When strong light strikes the camera.
- When the battery is weak.
NOTE
When you fix the camera to a tripod and shoot still images, aim the remote controller’s transmitter at remote sensor to operate the camera from the side without touching the camera. This prevents camera shake when shooting just like using a remote release. In such cases, we recommend setting [Wireless Delay] to [0 sec.] under [Drive Settings] in the [Rec.] (
) menu.
