The camera will select the necessary settings for the conditions in which you wish to shoot when you choose the matching mode.
IMPORTANT
The position and shape of the operation buttons, screens displayed, and setting items may differ according to the model you use.
1. Press the <Power> button of the camera.
If you are using the PowerShot ELPH 320 HS / IXUS 240 HS / IXUS 245 HS, set the <Mode Switch> to [Shooting] (
).

Touch the [Shooting Mode] * in the upper-left corner of the screen.
* If no changes have been made to the settings so far, The followings [shooting Mode] will be displayed.

- Because the camera will shoot continuously in [Handheld NightScene] () mode, hold it steady while shooting.
- In [Handheld NightScene] () mode, shooting conditions that cause excessive camera shake or similar issues may prevent the camera from combining images, and you may not be able to obtain the expected results.
- In [Fireworks] () mode, mount the camera on a tripod or take other measures to keep it still and prevent camera shake. In this case, set [IS Mode] to [Off].
- In [Handheld NightScene] () modes, shots may look grainy because the ISO speed is increased to suit the shooting conditions.
- Since you may not achieve the expected results with images shot in [Super Vivid] (), [Poster Effect] (), [Fish-eye Effect] (), [Soft Focus Effect] (), [Miniature Effect] () and [Toy Camera Effect] (), try taking some test shots first.
- In [Low Light] () mode, the recording pixel count will be displayed as (
