The camera will select the necessary settings for the conditions in which you wish to shoot when you choose the matching mode.
1. Turn on the camera.
2. Set the <Mode Dial> to one of the selectable modes shown below.

NOTE
- In [Smooth Skin] () mode, areas other than people’s skin may be modified.
- In [Fireworks] () mode, mount the camera on a tripod or take other measures to keep it still and prevent camera shake. Additionally, you should set [IS Mode] to [Off] when using a tripod or other means to secure the camera
- In [Fireworks] ( ) mode, although no frames are displayed when you press the shutter button halfway, optimal focus is still determined.
- In [Miniature Effect] ( ) mode, the zoom is not available when shooting movies. Be sure to set the zoom before shooting.
- In [Miniature Effect] ( ) mode, holding the camera vertically will change the orientation of the frame.
- In [Miniature Effect] ( ) mode, movie image quality is [
] at an aspect ratio of [ 4:3] and [ 
] at an aspect ratio of [ 16:9]. These quality settings cannot be changed. - In [Color Accent] () mode, and [Color Swap] ( ) mode, using the flash may cause unexpected results.
- In [Color Accent] () mode, and [Color Swap] ( ) mode, in some shooting scenes, images may look grainy and colors may not look as expected.
- In the [Smooth Skin] (), [Super Vivid] ( ), [Poster Effect] ( ), [Fish-eye Effect] ( ), [Miniature Effect] ( ), [Toy Camera Effect] ( ), and [Soft Focus] ( ) modes, try taking some test shots first, to make sure you obtain the desired results.
