      Phenomenon
      With OS X Mavericks v10.9, scanning is not performed even when the SCAN button of the printer is pressed or when Scan is selected on the printer operation panel.

      Cause
      Due to a change of the OS specifications, the OS does not receive the signal from the printer when the SCAN button is pressed or when Scan is selected.

      Solution
      With OS X Mavericks v10.9, scanning from the printer is not supported.
      Using the Canon application software such as MP Navigator, perform scanning from the PC.
