How to set High-Speed Continuous Shooting (High-speed Burst HQ)
You can shoot a series of shots in rapid succession by holding the shutter button all the way down. You can shoot at a maximum speed of approx. 8.5 shots/sec.

IMPORTANT
The drive mode is [

mode and cannot be changed.
NOTE
- HQ: High Quality
- Focus, image brightness, and color are determined by the first shot.
- The screen is blank while you are shooting.
- There may be a delay after continuous shooting before you can shoot again. Note that some types of memory cards may delay your next shot even longer. SD Speed Class 6 or higher memory cards are recommended.
- Shooting may slow down depending on shooting conditions, camera settings, and the zoom position.
1. Press the power button to turn the camera on, and then set the <Mode Dial> to (
).
2. Press the <FUNC./SET> (
) button.
3. Press the <

> buttons or turn the <
> dial to choose [Shooting Mode].
Press the <FUNC./SET> (
) button.
(If no changes have been made to the initial settings, [Portrait] (
) will be displayed.
4. Press the <

> dial to choose [High-speed Burst HQ] (
), and then press the <FUNC./SET> (
) button.
5. If the [High-speed Burst HQ] (
) icon is displayed on the upper-left part of the screen, the setting is completed.
As long as you hold the <shutter button> down, the camera will shoot successive images.
- Shooting stops when you release the shutter button or reach the maximum number of shots, after which [Busy] is displayed and the shots are shown in the order you took them.
Viewing Each Image in a Group (Group Playback)
Images shot in [High-speed Burst HQ] (
) mode are grouped for display, and these grouped images can be viewed one at a time.
IMPORTANT
If you erase a grouped image, all images in the group are also erased. Be careful when erasing images.

- To view images shot in [High Speed Burst EQ] () as a group, press the <MENU> () button, choose [Group Images] on the [Playback] () tab, and then choose [ON]. (The setting is [ON] by default.)
