If your images are cut off or cropped when printed, please confirm/adjust the settings as explained in the following sections.
Confirm that cropping is turned off
Follow the steps below to confirm that cropping is turned off.
When cropping is set, a crop frame is displayed, showing the image area that will be cropped.
1. Press the EDIT button on the image display screen, and then press the [
], [
] buttons to select [Reset Cropping], and then press the [
] button.
2. When [Reset Crop settings?] is displayed, press the [
] button again.
This concludes the procedure for canceling cropping.
REFERENCE
- Cropping areas you have set are cleared if you turn off SELPHY or remove the memory card before printing.
- Note that specifying zero prints will not clear cropping settings.
Set the correct paper size
When the aspect ratio of the image does not match the paper size and [Borderless] is selected, part of the image will be cut off when printed. Confirm that the paper size matches the image aspect ratio before printing.
To prevent an image from being cut off when printing on paper that differs in size from the image’s aspect ratio, set the [Borders] menu option to [Bordered].
*The above example shows a 1:1 image as printed on Postcard Size paper.
Print images with a border
3. Print.
Select the images and the number of prints, and then press the [
] button to print.
NOTE
- Border settings return to [Borderless] when you turn SELPHY off. However, you can have SELPHY retain settings even after being turned off by performing the procedure below.
[Retaining the print settings]
1. Press the [
] button, press the [
], [
] buttons to choose [Change Settings], and then press the [
] button.
2. Press the [
], [
] buttons to choose [Keep Print Settings], and then press the [
] button.
3. Press the [
], [
] buttons to select [Border Settings], and then press the [
] button.
4. Press the [
], [
] buttons to adjust the settings, and then press the [
] button to confirm your choice.
5. Press the [
] button twice to return the printer to the screen shown in step 1.
- Images are printed without borders when [Page Layout] is set to [ Index ] or [ Shuffle ].
- On card-size paper, images are printed without borders when [Page Layout] is set to [ 8-up ] even if [Bordered ] is selected.
