To restrict the focus to subjects at close range, set the camera to [Macro] (
).
IMPORTANT
- The following section explains the setting procedures when the camera’s shooting mode has been set to [Program AE] ().
- Macro cannot be set when the camera is set to one of the following shooting modes:
[Hybrid Auto] (
), [Auto] (
), [Creative Shot] (
), [Star] (
), [Star Portrait] (
), [Star Nightscape] (
), [Star Trails] (
), [Star Time-Lapse Movie] (

Setting the focus range to [Macro]
- Procedures for setting the focus range to [Macro] are explained below.
1. Press the power button to turn the camera on.
2. Press the <
> button to display the menu screen, and then touch [Focus Range] (
).
3. Touch [
: Macro ] to select it from the items appearing at the bottom of the screen, and then press the <
> button.
4. Once the setting is complete, [Macro] (
) is displayed in the upper right of the screen.
REFERENCE
- If the flash fires, vignetting may occur.
- To prevent camera shake, try mounting the camera on a tripod and shooting with the camera set to [Self-Timer] ().
NOTE
- The screen indications when operating the zoom lever in [Macro] () mode are as follows.
