The Scanner Buttons do not work.

    Issue

    The scanner does not work when a scanner button on the main unit is pressed.
    An error message appears when a scanner button is pressed.

    Cause and Solution

    The scanner button may be pressed for too short.
    Press the scanner button for a few seconds.

    The lock switch holding the scanning unit is not released completely.
    Disconnect the interface cable from the scanner and release the lock switch completely.
    Then reconnect the scanner.
    Unlocking the Scanner

    MP Navigator EX may not be installed on your computer.
    1. Check if MP Navigator EX is installed on your computer.
    2. If MP Navigator EX is not installed on your computer, install it.

    In order to start MP Navigator EX automatically when a scanner button is pressed, you need to set the scanner buttons to work with MP Navigator EX in [Image Capture] in [Applications] folder in Mac OS X.
