    Solution

The software currently installed on your computer may not be compatible with newer camera models.
In such cases, download the version of the [EOS Digital Solution Disk Software] for the applicable camera model from the downloads page of the Canon website and install it to overwrite the previous version. The application software installer will install/update the software as necessary based on the following criteria:

    • If the software version included in the [EOS Digital Solution Disk Software] is newer than the version already installed on your computer, an update will be performed.
    • If the software version included in the [EOS Digital Solution Disk Software] is not installed on your computer, the software will be newly installed.
    • If the software version included in the [EOS Digital Solution Disk Software] is older than, or the same as the version already installed on your computer, the current version will be prioritized, and installation will not be performed.

    NOTE
    • Software updates will not affect the cameras you have used before or images previously taken.

Installing new software to overwrite a previous version
