Displays during shooting (Onscreen Markers)
You can display a grid or a horizontal line at the center of the screen. Use the markers as a reference to make sure your subject is framed correctly (vertically and/or horizontally).
NOTE
- Movies have a 16:9 aspect ratio, so the [16:9 (White)], or [16:9 (Gray)] marker can be used as a convenient reference to check the area that will be recorded.
- Using the onscreen markers will not affect the recordings.
1. Set the power switch to ON to turn on the camcorder.
2. Touch [
].

Drag your finger left/right to bring the [Other Settings] menu to the center, and then
touch the icon to open it.
4. Touch [
].

Drag your finger up/down to bring [Onscreen Markers] into the orange selection bar, and then
touch the button.
6. Drag your finger up/down to select an option.
7. Touch [
] to close the menu.
8. The level or grid set will appear on the screen.
* If [Level (Gray)] was selected
Display During Playback (Display Date/Time)
Select whether to display the recording date and time during playback.
- During AVCHD movie and photo playback, both the date and time are displayed. During MP4 movie playback, only the date is displayed.
1. Press <
> to set the camcorder to <Playback> mode.

Drag your finger left/right to bring the [Other Settings] menu to the center, and then
touch the icon.
4. Touch the [
] tab.

Drag your finger up/down to bring [Display Date/Time] into the orange selection bar, and then
touch the button.
7. Touch [
] to close the menu.
8. When the movie is played back, the date will appear.
