    Solution

Some actions, such as suddenly turning off the camcorder or removing the recording media while data is being recorded, can cause data errors on the recording media. In such case, you may be able to recover the data if a message indicating that data (CF card) needs recovering. The message appears when you insert a corrupted CF card into the camcorder.
      IMPORTANT
      • This procedure will delete clips shorter than 10 seconds in length. Additionally, up to 10 seconds will be deleted from the end of clips on the CF card.

      1. If the [Data on CF A/CF B needs recovering. Attempt to recover?] message appears, push the joystick right/left to select [OK], and then press <SET>.
      : Joystick
: In the following procedures, 'Press <SET>' refers to the action of pressing the joystick straight down to select the desired setting.

      2. When the data recovery is completed, the [CF A/CF B Recovering is completed Check the clip] message will appear, so press <SET> to close the screen.

      NOTE
      • In some cases, it may not be possible to recover the data. This is more likely when the file system is corrupted or the recording media is physically damaged.
      • While recording on a CF card, you can recover data from another CF card by inserting it into the other CF card
      slot.
