Solution
Checking the [Mirror lockup] setting
During viewfinder shooting, if the shutter does not release when the shutter button is pressed fully, check the [

: Mirror lockup] setting in the shooting menu. If the setting is set to [Enable], change it to [Disable] to disable the mirror lockup.
Display of [

] on the camera’s LCD panel indicates that mirror lockup is set.
NOTE
If the Mirror lockup is set, the mirror swings up when the shutter button is pressed fully, and the viewfinder is blacked out. When the shutter button is pressed fully again, the mirror goes down and the picture is taken.
The camera's mechanical shake caused by the reflex mirror action can blur images taken with a super telephoto lens or close-up (macro) lens. In such cases, mirror lockup is effective.
For details about mirror lockup, refer to the camera's instruction manual.
