Please be informed of the information outlined below regarding firmware for the EF400mm f/2.8L IS III USM and EF600mm f/4L IS III USM interchangeable lenses for digital SLR cameras.

Note: The firmware version 1.0.8 is for lenses equipped with firmware version 1.0.7. The lens firmware version can be checked via the camera’s menu.
Details:
Firmware version 1.0.8 incorporates the following correction.
Correction:
Corrects the phenomenon whereby, during movie shooting, when attached to certain EOS digital SLR cameras*1 with the camera’s shooting mode set to M or Av mode, some exposure flicker may happen.
Note: This phenomenon doesn’t occur when shooting still images.
